TikTok Engagement Rate Calculator

Type a username and get the engagement rate, with the arithmetic shown rather than a score out of ten.

How this number is calculated

Average likes per video, divided by follower count. That is it, and every tool doing this is doing some version of the same sum, whatever they call their proprietary score.

⚠️ Read this before quoting the number. The likes here are the account's lifetime total divided by its video count, so it is an average across the whole history, not a snapshot of the last month. On an account that grew fast, old videos drag the average down and the real current rate is higher. On one that peaked years ago, the opposite.

For a figure you can put in an email to a brand, take your last ten videos, add likes and comments, divide by views, and multiply by a hundred. That is the number they will check.

What counts as good

Rates fall as accounts grow, and that is normal rather than a failure: reach outruns the core audience. A 20,000 follower account at 10% is often worth more to a brand than a 500,000 follower one at 2%, which is exactly what the money calculator prices.

Questions

Is this the same engagement rate a brand will calculate?

Close, but not identical. Brands usually look at your recent videos, while this averages the whole account history. If you grew recently, your current rate is higher than what this shows.

Why does it not use views?

Because TikTok does not publish a total view count for an account, only per video. Likes over followers is the figure that can actually be computed from public data.

Does a low rate mean my account is failing?

Not by itself. Rates fall as accounts grow because reach outruns the core audience. Compare yourself with accounts your size, not with everyone.

Can I check a competitor?

Yes, any public account. Nothing about the lookup is visible to them.
